Abstract Funding Acknowledgements Type of funding sources: None. Background. The value serial coronary artery calcium (CAC) scores to predict changes in absolute myocardial perfusion and epicardial vasomotor function is poorly documented. Purpose. This study explored the association between progression CAC score perfusion. Methods. Fifty-three patients with single-vessel disease (CAD) underwent [15O]H2O Positron Emission Tomography/Computed Tomography at 1 month (baseline), year, 3 years after percutaneous intervention (PCI) assess scores, hyperemic blood flow (hMBF), reserve (CFR) cold pressor test MBF (CPT-MBF), within context VANISH (Impact Vascular Reparative Therapy on Vasomotor Function Myocardial Perfusion) trial. Relationships baseline evolution indices were a mixed model-analysis. Results. Baseline was 0 9%, 0.1-99.9 40%, 100-399.9 36% ≥400 15% patients, respectively. In higher groups, increased more over time (overall p < 0.01). Mixed model-analysis allowed for averaging all points: hMBF (3.74 ± 0.83; 3.33 0.79; 3.08 0.78 2.44 0.74 mL·min-1·g-1) CFR (3.82 1.12; 3.17 0.80; 3.19 0.81; 2.63 0.92) lower among groups (p 0.01; = 0.03). However, no significant interaction found PCI indices, denoting that not significantly different groups. Furthermore, correlated (r 0.08, 0.57), 0.09, 0.53) or CPT-MBF 0.03, 0.82) during follow-up. Conclusions. Higher associated CFR. both its hMBF, time, suggesting are poor indicators change

Serial Myocardial Imaging after a Single Dose of Thallium-201
Although thallium-201 exercise scintigraphy has been established for the detection of myocardial ischemia and viability, little is known regarding the myocardial thallium-201 kinetics during angioplasty. Herein, we report a 77-year old man with angina pectoris, in whom serial myocardial imaging after a single dose of thallium-201 was helpful in identifying not only the culprit lesion and myocar...
متن کاملMyocardial Perfusion SPECT Imaging in Patients after Percutaneous Coronary Intervention
Coronary artery disease (CAD) is the most prevalent form of cardiovascular disease affecting about 13 million Americans, while more than one million percutaneous transluminal intervention (PCI) procedures are performed annually in the USA. The relative high occurrence of restenosis, despite stent implementation, seems to be the primary limitation of PCI. Over the last decades, single photon emi...
متن کاملThe value of myocardial perfusion imaging with Tc-99m MIBI for the prediction of perfusion improvement after percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty
Introduction: Percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) is an effective method for revascularizing of stenotic coronary vessels. Lack of response to this treatment, either in symptomatic or asymptomatic patients, is usually due to incomplete revascularization, restenosis, and/or irreversibility of myocardial perfusion. Introduction of a noninvasive metho...
متن کاملComparison of dipyridamole – induced electrocardiographic changes and myocardial perfusion imaging in diagnosis of coronary artery disease [Persian]
Introduction: This study evaluated the diagnostic value of the dipyridamole induced electrocardiuogram (ECG) cahnges, comparing with myocardial perfusion imaging. Materials and Methods: 222 patinets were studied with dipyridamole infusion (based on ECG criteria) as well as Dipyridamole-myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI). Results: Abnormal dipyridamole test and abnormal MPI were noted in 1...
متن کاملDiagnostic Accuracy of Gated-SPECT Myocardial Perfusion Imaging and Exercise Stress Test for Diagnosis of Coronary Artery Disease
Background and Objective:Accurate diagnosis of CAD using noninvasive procedures is of great importance. The aim of the study is to assess diagnostic accuracy of myocardial perfusion imaging and compare it with exercise stress test in order to decipher a more accurate and cost-effective method for CAD detection. Materials and Methods:Of 430 consecutive patients suspected with CAD, 104 performed...
